Seven was started as a youth group “praise band,” as they called them back then, by Paul and Nathan LeFeber and A. Evan Westburg. After performing at youth events in Lincoln and the surrounding areas we decided to make an album, a big deal for a bunch of 15 year olds. With a coupon (that’s right a coupon found in the paper) the band got some studio time. Over the course of three days we recorded Schoolyard Mission. It sounds a little silly today, but it struck a nerve back then. We quickly sold out of over a thousand copies.
